the MHK House

So much work goes into designing and building a home—and we want to bring you behind the scenes of the very first MHK House, built by Haven Valley Homes. From the initial site walk to sketching and design, selecting materials and products, and navigating the build from start to finish, we’ll share the full journey all the way to move-in day.

We hope it’s educational, inspiring, and occasionally funny. We’ll share what we learn, what surprises us, what we laugh at, and what we’d do differently—because the process isn’t perfect, but it’s exciting and always worth it. Come along for the good and the bad. While this may be the first of its kind, we also intend that it will not be the last.  

The first MHK House will be located within The Cliffs Landing, located on Lake Keowee, SC with long water and mountain views.  Not only will this project contain all of the most requested design options, but it will also push the creativity needle with experimentation of materials, mechanics, home automation and even challenge modern design standards.   

This site is dedicated to share our experiences from design through construction of this amazing home.  Once this project is complete, we look forward to sharing the space with our clients, builders and realtors, as well as our numerous partners throughout the US.
