Commitment
Accessibility
MHK Architecture is committed to making The MHK House usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and screen magnification.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA— the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and adopted widely by public and private organizations.
What we've done
- Color contrast reviewed and adjusted to meet the AA 4.5:1 minimum for text.
- Clearly visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- A “skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Semantic landmarks, headings, and labeled forms and controls.
- Descriptive alternative text for images, editable by our content team.
- Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” setting.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is a continuous process. We test new content and features against these standards and welcome feedback that helps us improve. Some third-party or embedded content (such as video) may depend on external providers; we work to caption and describe media as it is published.
